Kristian Sky Taylor ("Wizard Willy")

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kristian Sky Taylor, lovingly known to many as "Wizard Willy." Kristian passed away on June 11, 2026, in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of others will be felt forever.

Kristian was a proud Marine whose dedication to service reflected the strength, courage, and compassion that defined his character. After his military service, he was on his way to becoming an exceptional social worker, driven by a deep desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of those who needed support most. Among his proudest accomplishments were making the Dean's List, serving the community through the Bannock House, and becoming an incredible uncle to his two beloved nieces. He found great purpose in being there for young people and ensuring they felt seen, heard, and valued.

Kristian lived by the motto, "The future me depends on the current me." It was a reflection of his determination, growth, and belief in becoming the best version of himself. He approached life with empathy, resilience, and a heart that seemed to have endless room for those he cared about.

Those who knew Kristian will remember him as a man with one of the biggest and most loving souls imaginable. He was the person people turned to when they needed comfort, guidance, or simply someone to listen. He made it clear to everyone he loved that he was their safe place, available at any hour of the day or night. His presence was a solid foundation for family and friends alike, offering unwavering support through life's greatest joys and deepest struggles.

Kristian found happiness in mountain biking, playing rugby, spending time with his dogs, and creating lasting memories with the people he loved most. Time with family and friends meant everything to him, and he cherished every opportunity to share laughter, adventures, and meaningful conversations.

He was actively involved in Student Veterans of America and AOG Jiu-Jitsu, where he continued building connections, supporting others, and living a life of service beyond himself.

He is survived by his mother, Stacy Taylor (Kenneth Squires) of Pocatello, ID; father, Stuart (Salinda) Gokey of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Chase Gokey of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Kassidy (Clifford) Murphy of Pocatello, ID; his two cherished nieces, Peighton Murphy and Aspen Murphy; grandparents, Robert and Marie Gokey of Roberts, Idaho, Laurie Thomas of Mesquite, NV, Roy Kay of Idaho Falls, ID and Kay Till of Idaho Falls, ID; and his uncle, Rick Gokey of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marcia Beus; grandfather, Jerry Taylor; and aunts, Melissa Gokey and Cary Brenchley.

Kristian Sky loved fiercely and unconditionally. HIs life serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion, connection, and showing up for one another. PTSD is real. Hug your loved ones tightly and never miss an opportunity to say, “I love you.” Check on your people. No one should ever have to feel alone in their fight.

Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit is at peace.
