LaNae H. Dye

November 15, 1938 — September 6, 2025

Chubbuck

LaNae Hill Millward Dye peacefully completed her mortal journey on September 6, 2025 surrounded by members of her family.

LaNae entered this world in Driggs, Idaho on November 15, 1938. She was born to Russell Dell Hill and Elda LaRene Stevens Hill. She was the fourth of five children. When she was very young, LaNae’s parents both passed away. Her uncle, Merrelle and aunt Maxine took her in and raised her with their family.

LaNae graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho in 1956. She attended Idaho State University. She served a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the French East Mission. After her mission, she attended BYU where she met Joseph “Jody” Millward. They married September 2, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had eight children. Later, LaNae and Jody divorced.

LaNae met Dennis Dye to whom she was later married in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 18, 1997. She became the stepmother to Dennis’ five children whom she loved as her own.

LaNae dedicated her life to her family and to serving others and her Heavenly Father. It seemed there was nothing she put her hand to that she could not do well. She often said, “Pray like everything depends on the Lord and work like everything depends on you.”

LaNae is survived by her Millward children, son Michael Cody (Keri) Millward of Clinton, UT; son Derrick Gard Millward of Bedford, WY; daughter Jynnae (John) Smedley of Pocatello; son Joseph Dell Millward of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Annique (Jed) Dayley of Chubbuck; son Russell Curtis (Megan) Millward of Pocatello; her Dye children, son Art (Shauna) Dye of Ogden, UT; daughter Terri (John) Oborn of Chubbuck; daughter Tena (Phil) Richardson of Chubbuck; son Mark (Covina) Dye of Soda Springs, ID; Jason (Hailey) Dye of Pocatello; a multitude of wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister Annette Clark of Pleasant Grove, UT; her sisters-in-law Deanna Hill of Pocatello, Karen Hill of Pocatello, Beverly (Gary) Hirschi of Chubbuck, Shana (Claylon) Perkins of Arbon, ID; her cousins Rick (Cynthia) Hill of Richmond, Indiana, and Doug (LeAnn) Hill of Rexburg, ID and; and many loved nieces and nephews.
