Larry G. Bergener

Larry Gene Bergener, 68, of Pocatello, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Portneuf Medical Center.

Larry grew up in Oakley, Idaho, the third of six boys born to Milford and Donna Bergener. He logged many miles as a long-haul truck driver before settling back in Burley as the owner and operator of Cheers Bar. For the last three years, due to declining health, Larry lived in Pocatello near his daughter.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ray (Merrilyn). He is survived by his three children, Jeannie (Mike) Rittel, Colleen (Howard) Hansen and Sam (Hope) Bergener; and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Don (Linda), Dennis (Louise), Norman (Carol) and Floyd (Mary).

No formal service will be held.
