Linda Darlene (LaChappelle) Hall, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2026, after a long illness, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She was born on January 8, 1956, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Darlene Ranstrom and later adopted by Ernie LaCahappelle. She married Jeffery Mills in 1971. They had three children together and later divorced. On December 20, 1975, Linda married Gregory Hall and together they had four children.

Linda was first a nurse, caring for others with skill and compassion, and later became a devoted homemaker as her family grew – her most cherished role. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She carried a kind heart and gentle quiet strength, offering love not in grand gestures, but in consistent, meaningful ways. She found joy in camping and fishing, arts and crafts, baking, singing, and long games of cards. Some of her most treasured moments were the simplest ones: sharing a cup of coffee, shuffling a deck of cards, and laughing with her family. Those moments meant everything to her, and they mean everything to us now.

Linda is survived by her children and family: Melanie (James) Christiansen, John (Cynthia) Mills, Lindy (Shane) Hill, India Hall, Greg Hall, Dane Hall, Rhonda Mills, Heather Cochran, Manolo Cruz, as well as her 23 beloved grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Hall; her son, Shawn Mills; mother, Darlene (Ranstrom) LaChappelle; and her brother, Lynn LaChappelle.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, faith, and quiet devotion. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will be carried forward by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Mom. You are deeply loved and forever missed.

A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at a later date.
