Linda Rae Williams Marley, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Pocatello, Idaho, following a battle with chronic heart failure.

Linda was born September 8, 1942, at Idaho General Hospital in Pocatello, Idaho, to Oliver Eggleston Williams and Wanda Williams. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960. She went on to study at Brigham Young University and Idaho State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in Business Education and a minor in Music, followed by a Master's degree and a Doctorate of Education, both from Idaho State University.

Linda dedicated her career to education, teaching at Hawthorne and Franklin Junior High Schools and Pocatello High School. She went on to serve as principal of an alternate school and later as Regional Director of Professional Technical Vocational Education.

On July 9, 1966, Linda married Robert Duane Marley in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Together they built a life filled with love, faith, and adventure, traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, England, and Wales. Robert preceded her in death.

Linda was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in numerous callings throughout her life and serving multiple service missions with Robert in the Pocatello area. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

An avid quilter and seamstress, Linda also loved music — especially playing the piano and organ. Above all, she loved her family. She will be remembered for her optimism, her positive attitude, and the compassion and care she showed to everyone she met.

Linda is survived by her children: Bryn (Holly) Marley of Layton, UT; Derek (Stacie) Marley of Lewisville, NC; and Nikole (Randy) Fleming of Pocatello, ID. She is also survived by her siblings, Alan Williams and Kathleen Kirkham; her grandchildren, Talon Marley, Burgandy Hammon, Brenner Marley, and Emerson Marley; and her great-grandchildren, Daxton Hansen, Briella Hammon, and Easton Hammon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Duane Marley, and her parents, Oliver Eggleston Williams and Wanda Williams.
