Lisa Antoinette Ririe

Lisa Antoinette Ririe, aged 58, died peacefully on August 21, 2026, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born April 8, 1968, in Concord, California, to her beloved parents Albert and Dottie (Dortha) Romero, she grew up in Antioch, California, where she loved swimming, spending time outdoors with friends, and taking trips with her family.

She met the love of her life while they were both in high school at a drama Christmas party at her home. Robin Ririe Jr., ever the suave gentleman, went over and put on “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” by Air Supply on the old stereo, looked right at her and announced it was “lady’s choice.” They chose each other right then and never looked back. They married on July 30, 198, enjoying 38 wonderful years together.

Lisa’s four children were born within a few years and quickly became her whole world. Two years after marrying, they had their firstborn son, Albert (Katie). Two years later came their first daughter, Mikayla. Deciding on one more, their child and second son Robin III, arrived – followed by a bit of an “oops” six months later when their second daughter and final child, Sarah (Dorian), was conceived.

Lisa was one heck of a mother. She fought fiercely to protect and care for her children, welcoming all kids and friends into her home as if they were her own. She was a devoted shoulder for anyone who needed support. She taught her children to be strong, caring and independent people, and to always stand up for themselves and others.

Lisa was always creating, crafting, painting and baking new gifts for her family and friends – often with mixed results in the kitchen and in spite of an obvious lack of a green thumb when trying to keep a garden alive. She was also an avid and accomplished photographer who loved capturing memories. Above all, she considered her five grandchildren – Walter, Cassian, Nora, McKenna, and Theodore – to be the most precious things in her life; they will forever be her greatest joy.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband Robin; her four children; her five grandchildren; and her two sisters, Brenda Kain and Cheryl Romero. She is happily reunited in death with her parents, Albert and Dottie Romero, and her three brothers, Wayne, Gary and Sam Popejoy. Her legacy of love, warmth, compassion, and sometimes sassy behavior will live on in those whose lives she touched. She will be missed always.
