Lorraine Christensen Alexander was born in Aberdeen, Idaho on October 21, 1936, to Darald Henry Christensen and Rita Abercrombie Christensen. She was the second of five siblings: Dorene (Joe) Farrens, Dee (Jackie), Claude (Kay), and Marva Jean (Bob, aka Bill).
A graduate of Aberdeen High School, Class of 1955, Lorraine went on to serve in the U.S. Army, where she met and married William (Tony) Alexander. They later divorced, but together they had two children—Gail Bishard and her husband Brent reside in Pocatello, Idaho, and John Alexander and his wife Andrea reside in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Lorraine raised her children in Aberdeen, working many years at Lamb Weston until retirement. She later joined her daughter at Bishard Realty in Pocatello before devoting herself fully to her role as a proud grandmother.
Splitting her time between Pocatello and St. Croix, Lorraine touched many lives with her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor. She loved spending time with family and friends, cheering on loved ones at sporting events, and enjoying social activities of all kinds—especially cards, board games, dancing, and bingo. A lifelong sports fan, she adored watching Tiger Woods play golf.
She was a dedicated bowler, competing in leagues for years and even winning a state doubles championship with her son. Travel was another great joy, particularly trips with her siblings and niece, Sherry. Lorraine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived her life with faith, grace, and generosity.
Lorraine passed peacefully on May 31, 2025, in Pocatello, surrounded by love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Darald and Rita Christensen; her sister Dorene and brother-in-law Joe Farrens; sister-in-law Kay Christensen; and brother-in-law Bob (aka Bill) Mueller.
Lorraine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.
