Manijeh Jalalzadeh Dailami, 96, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at her home in Logan, Utah. She was born November 26, 1929, in Abadan, Iran, to Mohamad Javad and Sakeeneh Badr Jalalzadeh, the third of 10 children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al, in 2013, and her grandson Khody in 2018.
Manijeh lived through a remarkable period in the history of both Iran and her adopted home of Logan, Utah. In 1941, at age 11, she lived through the Allied forces' takeover of her hometown of Abadan. She witnessed the nationalization of oil, a significant historical event in Iran, in 1951. In 1979, following the Iranian Revolution, she emigrated to the United States with her husband and youngest child to join the rest of her family. Through these historic events, as well as the many joys and trials of her personal life, her heart remained centered on her family, and her quiet, steadfast faith was the bedrock of her life.
In 1948, she met and married her husband, Abdul Hamid “Al” Dailami, in Abadan, Iran, and together they began the family that became the great joy of her life. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest treasure. She cared for them with open arms and an exceptionally warm heart, giving of herself freely and exemplifying unconditional love.
Manijeh is survived by her children: son Farid (Narges); daughter Farideh; son Farshid (Sharee); daughter Farzaneh; daughter Sara (Steve) Allison; daughter Fereshteh (Tim) Aspell; and son Farshad (Sayde); 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the LDS church building located at 280 West 1200 North in Logan, Utah (Spring Haven Ward). The viewing will be followed by a short family service, which may also be viewed at www.wilksfuneralhomes.com. Interment will take place at Logan Cemetery.
