Manuelita Maria Waterhouse, 59, passed away January 2, 2026 at Eastern Idaho Regional Hospital, in Idaho Falls, Idaho from Liver Damage, Kidney Damage, and Congestive Heart Failure. She was born on December 6, 1966. Daughter of the late Ira Waterhouse Sr. and the late: Alfreda Punkin-Waterhouse, she attended Tyhee Elementary School, Hawthorne Junior High School, and graduated from Highland High School in 1986. She participated in Occupation and Training Class in Fort Hall Old Learning Lab. She also attended Idaho State University for the Secretary Training Course, in Pocatello, Idaho. She lived on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation all her life. Manuelita Waterhouse and the late Mathew Stacey Sr. had a son, LyDale Ira Stacey, who unfortunately passed away in December 2011. She also helped raise her nephew Lawrence Stacey, her grandson Trenton Evening and granddaughter Elise Tendoy.
Most recently Manuelita was working with the Shoshone Bannock Tribes Language and Cultural Program for the last 5 years before she became ill. She also worked at the Shoshone Bannock Tribes Enrollment Department for 24 years. She was a member of the Native American Church. In her free time, she enjoyed going to Casinos, traveling to Powwow's, going on adventures, and traveling to different states. She also liked going to the movies and the drive in, craft fairs, participating in food sales, helping with family events and local events, and most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family. She used to do bead work, sew dresses and make shawls. She also liked going out with the Language and Cultural Program. She spent her free time doing research on our family tree. When she was younger, she used to show her talent by dancing both fancy shawl and traditional. She loved listening to powwow music and was a member of the Ross Fork Creek Singers.

On Thursday, January 08, 2026 the burial will be at 1:00 pm at the Ross Fork Cemetery in Fort Hall, ID, 43.04750, -112.27470.
