Maria Juana Gutierrez

Maria Juana Gutierrez, 78, passed away December 23, 2013 at a local care center. Maria was born July 11, 1935 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Porfirio Castaneda and Maria Valero. She was one of 6 children. She married Ramon Gutierrez Lopez in 1955, together they had 9 children. The family first moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1957 and then later they moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1976.She was a homemaker and her main focus in life was raising and caring for her family. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Maria enjoyed cooking for her family and helping others in need. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. A Holy Rosary will be held at 6 PM Friday evening at the church. Following the services she will be taken to her home for burial in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
