In Loving Memory of Marianne Sue Yokom

September 21, 1957 – June 28, 2026

Marianne Sue Yokom, 68, passed away after a sudden illness on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Marianne was born on September 21, 1957, in Elko, Nevada, to Juanita Perrine and Joseph Ellis. She graduated from Elko High School in 1975 and married the love of her life, Zane Joseph Yokom, on April 23, 1977. Together they shared 49 years of marriage, first making their home in Idaho before living in Utah and Nevada. In 1988, they moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they built a life centered on family and remained for the rest of Marianne's life.

Marianne is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Zane Joseph Yokom; her children, Warren (Melissa) Yokom and Tiana (Robert) Galvan; her grandchildren, William Wood, Kalena Wood, Tallon Yokom, Nickolas Wood, and Dayton Wood; her cherished great-grandchildren, MariJane Cook and Scarlett Cook; her half sister, Kimberly (Wayne) Hodge; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Perrine and Joseph Ellis, and her sisters, Natalie Ellis Wood and Jody Squires.

Family was the center of Marianne's world. She loved fiercely and without hesitation. She was deeply loyal, protective, and the very definition of a mama bear. If you were fortunate enough to be loved by Marianne, you knew she would stand beside you no matter what. She believed in honesty, spoke from the heart, and never felt the need to sugarcoat the truth.

Marianne found joy in camping and fishing, collecting wolves and Native American keepsakes, watching paranormal programs and reality television, especially Survivor, and spending time on the Oregon coast, one of her favorite places. More than any hobby or collection, however, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unwavering support, and her family always knew they could count on her.

She leaves behind a legacy of courage, honesty, loyalty, and unconditional love. Her kindness, strength, and fierce devotion to her family will continue to live on through everyone whose lives she touched. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew her forever

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Homes, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
