Mary Diane Byington was born March 9, 1952, in Hailey, Idaho, and deceased February 23, 2026. Daughter of Vernile and Mary Byington. She went by the name of Diane.

Diane has 5 older brothers and 1 younger sister. Which means they had a lot going on in their youth. Diane grew up on a farm/ranch where she learned her strong work ethic, and to play cards.

Diane was involved in many activities in her youth including 4-H, Rodeo Queen and Cheerleader. Diane had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. Diane also has a big heart and has helped many people to succeed in life.

Diane married Greg Knephful, but they later divorced.

Diane has had many jobs, including Flute Player and Sang with a Band, Domestic Engineer, Long Haul Truck Driver, Industrial Sewing, and Talented Seamstress. Her last job was at Grandma Sew n Sews, where she is greatly missed.

At the time of Diane's passing she had two nephews Jonah and Quentin living with her, who she loves very much and was like a mother to them.

She is survived by Brothers: Dennis (Mary) Byington, Gary (Donna) Byington, David Byington, Darryl {Darlene) Byington, Kenneth Byington, Sister: Cheryl Anderson, Quentin Byington and Jonah Byington, plus many nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by Parents Vernile and Mary Byington. Sister-in-laws Kim Byington and Linda Byington. Brother-in-law Ken Anderson.

Nephews Keith Byington, Dale Byington, Kenneth Byington, Gary Dean Byington, and Cord Byington.

We will miss our Diane and are excited to see her again in Heaven.
