Mary Jane Norris

Mary Jane (Anderson) Norris, 87, of Twin Falls, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Mary was born on December 23, 1936, at home in Kimberly, Idaho, to Floyd and Babe Anderson. Mary was the second of three children with an older sister, Betty Prunty, and a younger brother, Dan Anderson, who both preceded her in death.

Mary graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1957, where she often reminisced about her high school years. Mary had a tight-knit group of friends who would still get together on a regular basis for lunch and holidays.

Mary was married to Donald Joe Norris on June 17, 1960, in Hansen, Idaho, and married for 66 wonderful years. Don and Mary had three children: Kandra (Dan) Danos of Twin Falls, ID, Kelly Vincent of Twin Falls, ID, and Joe Norris, who preceded her in Death.

Mary had 8 grandchildren, Dusty (Adair) Danos, Josh (Kyla) Danos, Kelsi (Winton) Miller, Chase (Brandi) Vincent, Taylor (Kevin) Moyle, Blake Vincent, Tyler (Celeste) Norris, Cody (Maite) Norris, and 11 great-grandchildren who were all very special to her.

Mary was a homemaker who later turned farmhand when Don and Mary set out on a new adventure of farming after Mary's father, Floyd, retired, and they took over the farming operation in 1975. Mary loved the farm life; she was a parts runner and irrigator tractor operator and the chief financial operator who helped Don keep it all running for 45 years.

Mary loved camping, the Oregon coast, and traveling to Yuma and Arizona to escape the long Idaho winters. Mary and Don were able to enjoy several cruises with good friends to Hawaii, Mexico, and the Panama Canal, with her favorite cruise being to Alaska with her three kids and spouses.

Another source of great joy for Mary was her church, High Plains Christian Church, formerly Rock Creek Community Church, and her church family. She loved her church and church family. It was a great source of joy and comfort for her to hear the Lord's word.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Wilks Funeral Homes, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. Erik Neilson, Mark Browne, and Cody Ballard will officiate, with a Luncheon provided directly after the service at Mary's favorite restaurant, where they had lunch every Sunday after church, "Happy Landing" at the Twin Falls Airport, 524 Airport Road, Twin Falls, ID. 83301

Interment will be a private family service held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho.

The family would like to thank Hospice Visions and Dr. Preucil for the special care they extended to Mary at such a difficult time.
