Mary Lou Misner

Our dear Mary Lou Misner passed away peacefully June 11, 2026 in Pocatello, Idaho.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota March 19, 1945, Mary grew up in the beautiful chaos of being one of ten children to Miguel and Eloisa Martagon. From this house full of love and energy grew a family bond that no one could ever deny. After graduating from Monroe High School in St. Paul, Mary moved to San Diego, California. Her days in San Diego were filled with sun and fun, and when Mary met her match in a young Marine, George Misner, their adventure began. They were married November 25, 1967, beginning a wonderful 58-year journey together. They raised two sons, Doug (Salt Lake City, UT) and John (Pocatello, ID), who were truly the center of Mary’s world.

When Mary and George moved their family to Pocatello, Mary joined the team at Key Bank and spent over 25 years making friends with most anyone that came through the doors. She was always quick to tell an amusing story of a coworker or customer. Mary treasured her time at the bank and the long-lasting friendships made.

Mary will always be remembered for her huge heart, quick-witted humor, and how she cherished her time with family. She leaves behind her husband, George, her sons, Doug (Anne) and John (Lisa); her grandson Justin (Danielle), and two great grandchildren, Anastasia and Jameson. She is also survived by her brothers; Val (Pat) Martagon, Mike (Sharon) Martagon, Alf Martagon, Steve Martagon, and Ramon Martagon. As well as her sisters Betty (Bill) McEuen, Rose Martagon, and Carmen (Richard) Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her sister Vicky (Curt) Bransfield, and both parents.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff and caretakers at Elegant Residential Living, the nurses and staff of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, and her social work teams for their care and compassion in making Mary’s time filled with laughter and joy.

A private ceremony will be held with Mary’s family. In lieu of flowers a small donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mary’s memory is appreciated.
