Maureen Diane Collaer, 95, passed away on August 24, 2026.

Maureen Hugo Collaer was born in Boise Idaho on April 18, 1931 to RoseMary and Charles Hugo.

She graduated from Idaho Falls High school and went on to complete nursing school at Saint Alphonsus in Boise, Idaho where she met and married Nicholas Donald Collaer. They made their home in Blackfoot, Idaho where they raised six children.

Maureen was active in Eastern Stars and volunteered multiple years with Jobs Daughters.

She worked for Bingham Memorial throughout her professional career as an RN and charge nurse of the medical surgical floor.

She would tell anyone who would listen, and even if they didn’t want to, how proud she was and much she loved her “wonderful family”.

She went peacefully at home, in her sleep surrounded by her family, listening to Rod Stewart, Elvis and Frank Sinatra.

She is survived by Michael Collaer (Marlene); Jane Collaer Brockway (Alan); Phillip Collaer (Debbie); Scott Collaer (Susan); Robert Collaer (Paula) and Christine Collaer Muzzo (Mark), 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was a wonderful woman and will always be missed and remembered.
