Merlynn Barrus

Merlynn Barrus, 78, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home in Inkom, following a long illness. She was born to William and Carrie Floyd. She grew up in St. Charles, Idaho. She moved to Pocatello at the age of 17 where she continued her education. Merlynn met and married her husband of 57 years George "Stan" Barrus. She was employed at the Kraft Cheese Plant for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, along with sewing, crocheting, camping and anything to do with the outdoors. Merlynn and George were the camp hosts in Mackay for 8 years where they formed many wonderful friendships with people from all over. Merlynn loved life. She will be greatly missed. Merlynn is survived by her husband, George "Stan" Barrus, son Lynn (Joyce) Barrus, 2 granddaughters, Tia and Jen, 1 great-granddaughter Maegan, and 2 great-grandsons, Conner and Aiden. Merlynn is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Per her family's request there will be no services at this time.
