Michael Edward Bean

Michael Edward "Mike" Bean, aged 78, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Lakewood, CO. 

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Shirley Ann Morton Bean, his son, Michael James Bean, grandsons Owen Michael Bean and James Evers Bean, daughter-in-law Lauren Hybinette, his brother Thomas (Tommy) Bean, and numerous Hennessy family cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lynch Bean and Anne Hennessy Bean. 

Born and raised in Pocatello, Mike attended Saint Joseph's Primary School and Pocatello High School. Mike furthered his education at Idaho State University earning a degree in engineering. This education launched Mike's professional career where he earned many awards for his innovative energy conservation designs. 

The Bean family has entrusted Wilks Funeral Home, located at 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID 83202, with the arrangements.

Visitation will be Aug 19 from 5-7 pm, Mass will be celebrated Aug 20 at St Joseph's with internment at Mountain View. Lunch will be served at St Anthony Chapel following the graveside services.
