Monte Casper

Monte Dean Casper, 82, passed away at his home Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Monte was born October 18, 1926 in Canyon Creek, Idaho to Ernest and Zamona (Ard) Casper. Monte lived in Driggs and Pocatello. He married Verda Little in Driggs, Idaho on September 19, 1945. He worked and retired from FMC as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and ranching and construction projects. Monte is survived by his wife, Verda Casper, Pocatello, children, Nelda Christensen, Pocatello, Brent Casper, Pocatello, and Susan McKinley, Pocatello, siblings, Sue Furniss, Minidoka County, Ilene Smith, Pocatello, Reed Casper, Felt, ID, Judy Casper, Driggs, ID and Dennis Casper, Idaho Falls, ID; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Casper. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 2005 S. Fourth Ave, Pocatello. A viewing will be held Friday morning from 9 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
