Neil Clark, aged 77, passed away in his home in Meridian, Idaho, on Sunday, May 4, 2025 after bravely battling a lung disease for the last two years.
Neil was born in Pocatello, Idaho on November 22, 1947 to Margaret Ireta (Buck) Clark, and Clem Emery Clark. Neil spent much of his childhood playing baseball and basketball in Pocatello with his friends and brother, Grant. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1966 and attended college at Weber State. He lived in Pocatello for most of his life before moving to and spending 20+ years in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
He spent many years working for the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary, from which he retired. He spent his years in retirement working different 'fun' jobs, enjoying time with his family, watching sports, and exercising. He loved playing basketball at a Coeur d'Alene gym well into his 70s and took his shih-tzu, Stormy, along with him wherever he went. He moved back to Pocatello in 2018 before moving to Boise in the summer of 2024 to be close to his daughter.
Neil is survived by his daughter, Jessie Clark; his brother, Richard Clark; and his sister, Lorraine (Clark) Mitton. His beloved dog, Stormy, has found a safe, permanent home with Jessie's in-laws in Boise, Idaho. He is predeceased by siblings, Grant Clark, Lois (Clark) Wannamaker, Kenneth Clark, Keith Clark, Donna (Clark) Wight, and Doris (Clark) Aldana.
A funeral service for Neil will occur in Chubbuck, Idaho, at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11 am. A greeting hour will occur at 10 am prior to the service.
