Norma S Burke, 84, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at a local care center. Norma was born on December 21, 1930 in Georgetown, Idaho to Robert and Naomi Snydr. As a teen, she lived in Rockford, Idaho for three years before moving to Pocatello, Idaho where she graduated from Pocatello High School. She married Wilbur L Burke on July 11, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Norma was a stay at home mother raising her five children. She worked at Stevensons Bowling Alley as a teen and then cared for her Aunt Claire and her father until their passing away. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norma enjoyed sewing, classical music and movies. She had a green thumb growing plants and beautiful rose bushes. She loved taking care of her dogs. Norma is survived by her children, Paul T Burke, Pocatello, ID, Mona A Taylor, Chubbuck, ID, Jean Marie Burke, Meridian, ID, Chester L Burke, Port Orchard, WA, Phillip C Burke, Pocatello, ID; 13 grandchildren and 15 + great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L Burke; daughter, Sylvia Lorraine Burke; parents; and 9 siblings. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
