Peter Russell Loxterman, 73, of Pocatello, died Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born to the late H. Russell and Elise Loxterman, on April 2, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA. Peter graduated from Shadyside Academy in 1959 and received a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1963. He married Betsy Bullock in 1964. They lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan and South Carolina, before relocating to Pocatello in 2013. Peter was a sales executive in the steel industry until he retired in 2010. He was an active member of his community wherever he and Betsy lived, serving as a Boy Scout leader, Deacon and church Elder, charity volunteer and member of the School Board of Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Peter was also an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Pocatello. Peter is survived by his brother Alan, of Richmond; his wife and three children: Janet Loxterman (Ernest Keeley), of Pocatello; Lynn Loxterman, of San Diego; and John Loxterman (Jill), of Philadelphia. He also is survived by three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to First Presbyterian Church, Idaho Youth Ranch, or a charity of your choice. A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church located on the corner of 7 th and Lewis Street, Pocatello.
