Rebecca Maria Swore, 48, passed away on August 5, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by loved ones after a brave, hard-fought battle with breast cancer.
Born on September 16, 1976, in Pocatello, she was the first daughter of Tim and Maria Swore. Rebecca attended Tyhee Elementary, Hawthorne Junior High, and graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1994.
She grew up on the Swore potato farm in Tyhee and enjoyed a childhood filled with playing outside, softball, building LEGO creations, watching movies, listening to music, and motorhoming with her family. In junior high, she began taking art classes and stood out as an incredible artist. She loved drawing, and especially enjoyed sketching and recreating heavy metal music album covers. That artistic talent and creativity continued to blossom into adulthood in all that she did.
At the age of 15, Rebecca began working at her father's business, Ideal Audio. She became proficient in both technical installs and customer service, earning the trust and admiration of customers. Over the years, she became an integral part of the company, eventually co-managing the business alongside her brother, Travis. Her quick wit, friendly face and vast knowledge helped shape Ideal Audio into what it is today.
Rebecca was blessed with two children, Allen James (AJ) and Mia Campbell. She was a devoted, nurturing, and free-spirited mother, and spending time with her kids—even as they grew into young adulthood—was one of her greatest joys. Her lifelong love of movies became something they shared together, as she introduced them to many of her old-school favorites and created lasting memories through movie nights at home.
In September of 2017, Rebecca married Scott Tysor and gained another son, Nik. Together, they purchased Rebecca’s childhood home and began a new side adventure, starting a small goat farm. What began as a modest operation to support surrounding high school rodeos quickly grew into a thriving little farm, eventually expanding to include pigs and a miniature horse. Rebecca had a huge heart for animals—especially dogs—which often led her to taking in pets belonging to friends “just for a little while,” only to end up keeping them forever. Rebecca's love for animals flourished on the farm, where she found joy and purpose in caring for them and sharing that life with her family.
Rebecca was a lifelong active member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Pocatello. When she was younger, she participated in the church’s dance groups, where she was a beautiful and graceful Greek dancer. As an adult, she remained a dedicated part of the church community, especially during the annual food festival. She became known for perfecting the pilafi, or lemon rice, a beloved and essential menu item.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Tysor; children, AJ and Mia Campbell; stepson, Nik Tysor; parents, Tim and Maria Swore; brother, Travis (Ryan) Swore; sisters, Trisha (Colby) Reddin and Kathryn Swore (Ryan Pope); and cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Viola Swore, and Gust and Sophie Beseris.
Rebecca's gentle demeanor, kindness, and eclectic style will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
