Reggie Leroy Feld, 76, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho, the city where he was born on February 26, 1949. His life was marked by service to his country, dedication to hard work, and a deep love for family and freedom.
A proud graduate of Highland High School in 1967, Reggie enlisted in the United States Air Force shortly thereafter. From June 1967 to June 1974, he served as an air operations specialist. His military career took him across the globe, with assignments at Lackland AFB in Texas, Clinton Sherman AFB in Oklahoma, Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, Hill AFB in Utah, and overseas deployments to Okinawa and Vietnam. His time in uniform reflected his unwavering patriotism—a value that remained central throughout his life.
Following his honorable military service, Reggie returned to Pocatello and began a long and industrious civilian career. He worked for Simplot for 27 years before taking on new challenges at a copper mine in Utah. Later in life, he extended his skills internationally as a crane operator for an overseas contractor in Kuwait and Iraq. No matter where he worked or lived, Reggie brought with him a strong work ethic and a fierce sense of loyalty.
Reggie's personal life was rich with experiences and relationships that shaped him deeply. He had two daughters—Heather (Jason) Thomsen and Nicole Terpstra—from his marriage to Jackie Sorenson. Though their marriage ended in divorce, Reggie later married Colleen Sammons and then Cheryl Gratiano. Through all of life’s changes, his love for his children remained steadfast.
He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Tyler, Alec, Addie, and Dalton. The arrival of his great-grandson Remington added another cherished chapter to his family legacy. Reggie also shared close bonds with his sisters Teena, Diana, and Cheryl and maintained loving connections with many nieces and nephews.
Reggie's passions were as bold as his personality. He had a deep reverence for American symbols—especially the bald eagle and the flag—and was never shy about expressing his patriotic pride. He was an avid gun collector who appreciated both the craftsmanship of firearms and their historical significance. Western films were among his favorite pastimes; John Wayne movies held a special place in his heart for their rugged spirit and timeless values.
Traveling brought Reggie great joy as well. Among the many places he visited during his lifetime, Thailand stood out as one of his favorites—a destination he returned to more than once with enthusiasm.
Those who knew Reggie will remember him as generous to a fault—someone who would give you the shirt off his back or spend his last dime if it meant helping someone else. He was outspoken and unfiltered; you always knew where you stood with him because he never hesitated to speak his mind—often punctuated by a few colorful words that became part of his unmistakable charm.
Reggie was preceded in death by his father R.W. "Bill" Feld; mother Beverly Maxine Brillhart Feld; and sister Cheryl Jane Feld Gilbert.
His memory lives on through those who loved him—his daughters Heather and Nicole; son-in-law Jason; grandchildren Tyler, Alec, Addie, and Dalton; great-grandson Remington; sisters Teena Bock and Diana Feld; along with numerous nieces and nephews whose lives were touched by his presence.
A man of conviction, courage, humor, and heart—Reggie Leroy Feld leaves behind a legacy defined by service, strength, and sincerity. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
