Born on February 28, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, Richard was the son of Marie Maceyko Burik and Edward Burik. He was the devoted husband of Kellie for 35 years.

A Life of Kindness and Service

Richard was a gentle and welcoming man whose warm smile could brighten even the most difficult day. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated, whether they were lifelong friends, neighbors, or someone he had just met. Known for his generous spirit, he was often the first to offer a helping hand, encouragement, or quiet support. Through both thoughtful gestures and everyday acts of compassion, Richard left a lasting impact on those around him.

Richard proudly served in the United States military during the Vietnam War and received medals and honors in recognition of his service. He carried the values of duty, humility, and dedication throughout his life, earning the respect of family, friends, and fellow veterans.

Passions and Interests

Cooking was Richard’s love language, and he found great joy in sharing meals with family and friends. He also loved animals and treasured their companionship throughout his life. Richard enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in staying busy with projects and tasks that allowed him to create, repair, and help others.

Lasting Legacy

Richard will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the meaningful relationships he built throughout his life. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

The love Richard shared lives on in the family and friends fortunate enough to have known him. His laughter, compassion, and caring nature created memories that will be cherished for years to come. Whether gathered around a meal he prepared or reflecting on the quiet ways he made others feel valued, those who knew Richard will carry his spirit with them always.
