Rosemarie (Bierman) Fehringer died peacefully in her sleep on June 16, 2025. Rosemarie was born on December 9, 1933, to her parents Ralph Maxwell Moore and Margaret (Sutton) Moore in St. Johns Newfoundland, Canada. Rosemarie grew up in Buchans, Newfoundland in a small mining town where her father was a businessman. Growing up, Rosemarie enjoyed participating in a wide range of activities including Girl Guides, dancing, tennis, badminton, choir and ice hockey, where she was the smallest but fastest one on the ice.
Rosemarie went on to graduate from The College of Our Lady of Mercy and then St. Clares Mercy Hospital in St. Johns in September 1954. Following graduation, she worked at the Buchans Mining Company hospital for several years until she and her friend decided to leave Canada in 1957 in search of warmer weather and adventure.
Rosemarie and her friend immigrated to Los Angeles, CA where they worked at local hospitals while being able to enjoy the beaches and traveling throughout Southern California and Mexico. It was also in California that Rosemarie met her first husband, Laurence “Larry” William Bierman. They were married in Dugway, UT where Larry was serving at the Chemical Corp Base. Larry and Rosemarie stayed in Utah until Larry was discharged. They settled back in California where they had their three children, Karl, David and Margaret.
The family moved to Pocatello, ID in October 1965 where Larry continued to work as a Chemical Engineer and Rosemarie worked part time at St. Anthony’s Hospital as a delivery room and pediatric nurse. Rosemarie and Larry were very active in their church and community. They joined Hosts for Foreign students at I.S.U and were also involved in mental health programs within the community. They served on the board of Self Help, helped clients at the center and Rosemarie volunteered at Health and Welfare. They were also members of Holy Catholic Church where Rosemarie served on the Council of Catholic Women and sang in the choir.
Rosemarie became a proud United States Citizen in 1976. She and her sons, Karl and David, participated in the flag ceremony swearing in the new citizens. Following the ceremony, Rosemarie’s friends threw her a red, white and blue party to celebrate.
Rosemarie helped take care of Larry while he fought a 6-year battle with Cerebral Atrophy and passed away in 1996. She met Arnold Fehringer in 1998, and they were married in February 2000. Rosemarie and Arnold continued to live in Pocatello where they stayed involved in their community and church. They also enjoyed spending time with their family and traveling via Cruise Ship with their friends. Arnold passed away in March 2014.
Rosemarie had a large, loving family. She had four sisters, Faith Barnes, Anita Moore (deceased), Margaret Godden (deceased) and Angela Phillips (deceased).
