Ruben G. Ramirez

Ruben Gamaliel Ramirez 82, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. 

Ruben was born on February 18, 1943, in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico to Manuel Julio and Paula Ramirez. On July 13, 1974, Ruben married the love of his life Maria Montanez. Together they raised four wonderful children, Ana (Sergio DeLeon), Elizabeth (Federico Esquivel), Ruth (David Jennings), Ruben Ramirez Jr, 6 grandchildren, 3 great- granddaughter’s who he loved with all his heart.

Ruben was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved to garden. In the summer you would find him outside in his yard or in his garden. He loved going up to the mountains, BBQs in the backyard, and supporting his grandchildren’s sporting events. Best of all spending time with his grandchildren, and great-granddaughter’s.

Grounded in faith, Ruben and Maria spent 51 wonderful years together. He is survived by his wife Maria, his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter’s, and his younger siblings. As will as nieces and nephews.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel Julio, Paula Ramirez, and his granddaughter Yulissa Esquivel.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. Viewings will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15 and at 1:00 pm on Thursday prior to the service.
