Russell LaDell Lewis

Russell LaDell Lewis was born on April 18, 1944, to Neil and Ilene Lewis in Montpelier, Idaho. He was the oldest of 8 children. There were four boys then four girls. He worked as a farm hand from about age 6. He graduated in 1962. In 1965, Russell and his brother, Reggie, joined the Air Force. Russell served in Vietnam as a Crew Chief for F-4C jet aircraft at Cam Rahn Bay. He came back in 1968.

He met and married Dorothy Bryan on February 14, 1975. They had four kids: Keith, Sean, January, and Alex.

Russell went to work for the Railroad and Retired after 32 years in 2008.

Russell loved camping, hunting, and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Dorothy; parents, Neil and Ilene Lewis; sisters Debbie Hurren and Kathy Lewis; and brother Conan Lewis.

Russell is survived by his four children Keith of Kuna, Sean (Brandy) of American Falls, January (Jeff) of Pocatello, and Alex of Pocatello; siblings Reginald Lewis of Oklahoma, Wade Lewis of Montpelier, Wendy (Neil) Negus of Montpelier, and Maralene Hansen of Bennington; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Russell will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Wilks Pocatello location (2005 S 4th avenue, Pocatello, ID 83201) at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mapleton Idaho Cemetery in Preston, Idaho.
