Santiago Ramirez, 75, passed away on January 26, 2026.

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, a hardworking, loving, and genuinely kind man who devoted his life to his family.

Born in Mexico to Paula and Julio Ramirez (both deceased), our father came to the United States in pursuit of a better life. Through perseverance and dedication, he became a U.S. citizen and retired from Lamb Weston after many years of hard work. His greatest pride was providing for his family and allowing his wife, Bertha Treviño Ramirez, to stay home and raise their four children: Santiago Jr. Ramirez, Luis Ramirez, Elsie Ramirez, and Alicia Ramirez.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Carlos, Chalina, Aleta, Alita, Andre, Mauricio Ramirez, Vanessa Orozco, Tomas, and Mila Conn, and a joyful great-grandfather to Ezekiel Ramirez. His grandchildren brought him immense happiness and were truly the light of his life.

Our father was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Bertha Treviño Ramirez, and his brother Ruben Ramirez. He is survived by his sisters, Eunice Ramirez and Minerva Silva. He and Bertha shared over 50 years of marriage, a pure, traditional, and loving union that served as an example to all who knew them.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching sports, sitting on the porch with his wife while enjoying sunsets, listening to music, and chatting with neighborhood friends. He was friendly, happy, and never met a stranger. He especially loved talking with anyone willing to practice Spanish, always ready with a joke or a smile. He was truly the life of the party.

Hardworking, genuine, loyal, and full of love, our father was an amazing human being whose legacy will live on through the family he cherished so deeply.

A small celebration of life will be held to honor him. Please contact the family for details.

“Reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, their story of devotion and love lives on forever.”
