Twin Falls

Seth Wayne Vaughn, 27, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Seth was born to Shawna Jane and Dustin Wayne Vaughn on March 15, 1999, blessing their family just 10 months after the birth of his sister, Morgan, and making them Irish twins. Later, he was joined by his two younger brothers, Silas and Levi.

Seth was known for being a go-getter, being straight from the start, always pushing to excel, and doing better than anyone else. He was just a little competitive. From an early age, you could see his big heart and how he cared deeply for anyone who was having trouble, a bad day, or just needing help fixing something, even if it was a friend's toy. When his dad, Dustin, was deployed while serving our country, Seth stepped up to help his family in whatever ways he could. He was raised by good parents who taught him early that family comes first, and that lesson stayed with him throughout his life.

Growing up, he stayed active in cross-country and wrestling. Though he started his musical journey in middle school band with the trumpet, he eventually found his true rhythm with the guitar and ukulele, becoming a familiar, known presence strumming through the halls of Jerome High School. He was also active in FFA and loved his welding classes, building different projects along the way. Seth was a remarkably talented hands-on learner; if he was shown how to do something once, he mastered it right away and always figured out how to make it even better.

Seth was a very hard worker; during high school, he had numerous jobs, from working with local farmers to washing trucks at Blue Beacon Truck Wash in Jerome. After graduating from Jerome High School in 2017. He was given the opportunity to work for H&B Crushing, where his boss, Jeff Hall, took a chance on a kid who turned out to be a little brother to him. Jeff was very proud of Seth’s work ethic and leadership skills. Seth loved this job tremendously, where he and Jeff had great plans for his future. You could often hear Seth saying the company slogan. “Our Quality Aggregate Rocks Your World!”

Seth met the love of his life, Gentry Keanaaina-Plew. The couple started dating and fell head over heels for each other and later sealed the everlasting bond on September 17, 2022. They soon welcomed their first daughter, Poet Lane, who taught him the true love that only a father could know or understand. Then, 22 months later, they introduced Stella Rue to the family, whose arrival completed their household. He was overflowing with so much love and happiness for his family. Seth was very family-oriented, and that was not just blood-related; it extended to anyone and everyone. He was a very giving person who has a big heart that always had room for one more.

Besides being with his wife and daughters, he loved hitting the trails and riding his dirt bike every chance he had. He also loved wide open spaces and being out in nature, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and boating. Game nights were always a competition when Seth was around. He was always the life of the party and knew how to make everyone in the room laugh. He could always come up with a good prank or have everyone rolling with laughter over his impersonations.

He was loved by so many because that is how he lived his life, with love, caring so much he would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Every day he lived like there was no tomorrow #GoForBroke.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate; Gentry Vaughn, his daughters; Poet Vaughn and Stella Vaughn, his parents; Shawna and Dustin Vaughn, his siblings; Morgan (Stephon) Morales, Silas Vaughn, and Levi (Veronica) Vaughn, his father-in-law and mother-in-law David Jr. and Olivia Plew, his brothers-in-law; Gage (Molly) Plew, and Sutton Plew, his grandparents; Jesse and Lila Vaughn, David and Kay Plew, Zetell Nelson, Marcel and Debe Keanaaina, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his best friend; Preston (Sierra) Couch, and their sons; Lincoln and Otis, whom Seth loved as his own.
