Sherry L. Martinez

Sherry Lynn Ramsey Martinez, 70, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2026, in Pocatello, Idaho.

Sherry was born on January 5, 1956, in Covina, California to Frank and Sharon Ramsey. She was the oldest sibling, then followed Vicki Susan, Julie Ann, and Frank Eljon. Mostly raised in California, she moved to Idaho for the remainder of her life.

Sherry married Delfis Martinez. Their children include Lisa Ruiz Martinez and Delfi Martinez Jr, with stepdaughters Victoria and Leandra.

Sherry loved spending time in the garden, sewing, working on crafts and jewelry making, and she loved animals, especially her dogs. She often fostered dogs over the years.

Sherry was a stylist and manager for Regis Hair Salon, owned her own daycare called Sherry’s daycare, and worked for American Microsystems.

She loved her children very much. Sherry was very loving and caring and would do anything for anyone. She was beautiful inside and out and touched many lives. Everyone that knew Sherry, loved her.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Sharon Ramsey; sister Vicki Neeser; husband Delfis Martinez; and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her children Delfi (Jessie) Martinez, daughter Lisa Ruiz-Martinez; and five grandchildren.

Sherry will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held in Sherry’s honor on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilks Funeral Home (211 W. Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID 83202) with an inurnment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery (1520 S. 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID 83205).
