Shirley Yvonne Kujath

Shirley Yvonne Kujath, age 88, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on August 1, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born on October 30, 1935, in Sidney, Nebraska.

Shirley was known for her caring and compassionate nature, always willing to help others without hesitation. She had a heart of gold. 

On June 10, 1956, Shirley married the love of her life, Alvin Kujath, with whom she shared a beautiful life together. They were blessed with two children, Dena and Todd.

Shirley's life was marked by her love for her family and friends, her kindness towards others, and her unwavering faith. Shirley was a proud member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Pocatello. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Alvin Kujath of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Dena (Robert) Ruffridge of Chubbuck, ID; son, Todd Kujath of Pocatello, ID; grandsons, Jacob Ruffridge of Chubbuck, ID; grandson, Andrew (Maria) Ruffridge of Pocatello, ID; great granddaughters Paisley and Phynix Ruffridge of Pocatello, ID; sister, Sharon Layton of Colorado; sister, Brenda (Paul) Bodtke of Iowa; brother, Merlin (Thelma) Franzen of Texas; sister, Rhonda (John) McCaughey of Colorado; and nine nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ione Franzen and her brother-in-law, Don Layton.
