Shirley Ann Woodbury

Shirley Ann Woodbury, 89, passed away at her home in Chubbuck, Idaho, on September 4, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born to Erwine Phinney and Lola Agnes Hodges on June 21, 1936, in Fairbury, Nebraska.

Shirley loved to knit, crochet, put together puzzles, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and dancing.

She worked at Hillcrest Haven and would often bring her children up to spend time with the residents. Shirley worked as a waitress and spent time at the Senior Citizens Center and was an Eagles Lodge member. Shirley also worked at Westwood Discount Store for many years stocking their shelves, she loved working at Westwood, working there into her 80s. Shirley loved her bosses and people she worked with and always enjoyed visiting with the customers.

Shirley is survived by her children, Christina, Cheryle, Cathy, and Craig; and her partner Allen.

Shirley’s passing leaves a tender hole in the heart of many.

The family expresses gratitude for David with Heritage Hospice who took such wonderful care of mom.

Shirley’s wishes were for cremation, no services will be held at this time.
