We are devastated to report the death of Stanley Luc Siems. Stanley passed away on 11/22/24 after a significant struggle with mental illness. His symptoms were not always apparent as Stanley always brought joy and humor to everyone in his life.
Stan was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 6th, 1999, to Lucas and Amanda Siems. He spent the majority of his life in Pocatello and graduated from Century High School in 2017. He then attended the Robotics program at Idaho State University before entering the workforce.
Stan worked a variety of different jobs before, during and after his education. His exceptional kindness and empathy meant he excelled at several positions aiding the elderly and disabled. His favorite job was also his most recent one, when he started Siems Family Cleaning in 2023. His business specialized in rental cleanings but was also beginning to branch into home improvements and remodels. He took pride in his solely owned small business and intended to expand it into a long-term career.
Stan had a variety of interests that included video games, reading novels, social games, analyzing movies, building and repairing electronics, discovering music, Formula One, and introducing his friends and family to his hobbies or helping them build a deeper appreciation for them. He also had a short stint as a magician, with the stage name Cherry Milkshake, but the impossible weight that comes with such success and fame cut that short. Anyone that was lucky enough to engage with him on these topics would be impressed at the depth of his passion and understanding of them.
He will be most remembered for his humor. Stan brought not just laughter to those around him but created years of lines and in jokes that will be echoed by all those who met him. His sense of humor was the brightest part of his personality, and it was impossible not to smile around him.
He is survived by his parents, Amanda (Brian) Johnston and Lucas Siems, Pocatello. He is also survived by his three siblings, Ben and Madeline in Pocatello and Jillian in Nampa. He is also somehow survived by his 1992 Toyota Camry that has 304,000 miles and is held together by lots of duct tape. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Siems and Steven Mecham.
We are profoundly grateful to have had him in our lives and to have laughed and worried with him. His closest friends and family will be celebrating his life in private. Please reach out by email to asiems75@yahoo.com if you knew Stan and have memories of him to share.
