Steven Dennis Clark, former resident of Burley and Pocatello, ID, and Overton, NV., passed away at the age of 77, on June 7, 2025, at his home in Chubbuck surrounded by family.
Steven was born July 29th, 1947 at the former Cottage Hospital in Burley, ID being the third child of nine born to Elizabeth Hanks and Alma Card Clark.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership roles, including as Bishop in Wasilla, AK. He attended Ricks College then BYU majoring in Criminology, served a Southwest Indian Mission and later went on to teach Navajo at the Language Training Missionary Center in Provo UT. Years later he served another mission for 3.5 years with his wife Luanne at Warm Springs Recreation Area in Moapa, NV. He believed in living the gospel, not just talking about it! He was a leader by example and often his acts of kindness were done quietly without recognition. He had a big heart and freely gave to others even when his body limited him. His favorite quote was from Les Misérables when Jean Valjean says "When you learn to love another, you have seen the face of God."
