Suzette Georgeson, age 56, passed away unexpectedly early morning of Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Born February 3, 1967 in Blackfoot, Idaho, daughter of Jerry V. Williams and Barbara Yvonne Williams. She grew up in the farmland which she loved and attended grade school in the Tyhee area, and soon graduated from Highland High School class of 1985. Suzette was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.
Shortly after high school Suzette moved to Utah, where she met Afu Latu, and was delighted to meet her oldest son, Justin Latu, born March 20, 1987. While attending dental school Suzy found her favorite calling in life and directed her attention to motherhood. Although her relationship and educational pursuits were temporary, her love for those around her is permanent. Young Suzette felt it best to move back home in Idaho to be close to Justin’s grandma and her mom.
During Suzy’s time on earth she found the importance of family. Excited for a new life and tensions behind her she was to be remarried and in 1991 she met Curtis Hatch. Once relocated to the Pahsimeroi Valley, where Curtis lived, she began raising chickens, dogs, lambs, and a big vegetable garden, the three of them then welcomed another baby into the family, Jordyn Marquette born on March 13, 1993 in Salmon Idaho. In 1994 Suzette and Curtis went their separate ways and she moved back to Pocatello.
In 1996 she met her last husband Eric Georgeson and was married to him in 1997. They were real go getters and despite their blended family they always did their best to make everyone feel included and loved living and being in Idaho. May 7th 1998 Suzy’s second son, Alex Georgeson was born. She would go on to be married for 23 years and with Eric’s career in New Mexico she did all she could to see her family in Idaho and loved road trips. Suzette moved to Boise, Idaho after her divorce from Eric to be with her son, daughter and three granddaughters, Aisley Marquette (7), Bentley Marquette (5), and Saylor Marquette (1). Suzette loved her grand babies very much and they brought so much happiness in to her life.
Suzette was a quick learner, and a people person and liked to work with others mostly in the hospitality industry. She had an eye for detail and liked to work hard. She had so many talents and a creative mind. She had a special bond with all animals and a lot of her best memories were working in the barn with her dad, riding her horse, or taking their race horses to tracks all around. Suzette had a beautiful light, she never met a stranger and she could make anyone laugh. She was good at taking care of people and animals, she had a knack for nursing things back to life. She loved working alongside her sister, and had a successful cleaning business. She also loved to be outside working in the yard, planting, or just watching her phone while being in the sun.
Suzette was honored to be a daughter, sister, mother, aunt and Oma. She will be missed by so many and we will all cherish our memories of her forever.
Suzette was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Barbara Williams, aunts, uncles and her nephew, Ronnie Wieland.
Suzette is survived by her children, Justin Latu, Jordyn (Jason) Marquette, and Alex Georgeson; her grandchildren, Aisley, Bentley, Saylor Marquette; her siblings, Jackie (Ron) Wieland, David Furniss, Jeanne Furniss Poppleton, Kelly (Shelly) Williams, and Lisa (Andy) Lakatos; and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
