Thelma Euneice Robinson

May 12, 1930 — August 3, 2025

Pocatello

In the very early hours of Sunday, August 3, 2025, mom quietly left behind her worn out body, took dad’s hand, and stepped into eternity with him.

Thelma Euneice Critchley Robinson, 95, was born May 12, 1930, in Pocatello, Idaho to Ferris James and Lillian Florence Parkin Critchley. Mom was the oldest of 3 sisters and 1 brother.

On June 21, 1956, mom and dad took Terry and Cheryl, the 2 children that they had at the time, to the Idaho Falls temple, where we were sealed together as a family for eternity. Together they raised 4 children, Terry, Cheryl, Karyn and Vicki.

Mom taught us love and service as she willingly served the members of her ward as a Primary President, member of the Relief Society Presidency, Handicap Primary Presidency, and ward and stake librarian. Together, mom and dad served a mission at the LDS Employment Agency and fulfilled an assignment at the Idaho Falls Temple.

Mom loved her family and could often be found at her mother’s playing pinochle with her mom and sister.

Mom loved to read, crochet, paint ceramics and do any craft she could find. It was especially hard on her when she lost her sight to macular degeneration and could no longer do the things she loved.

For the last few years, mom has been in declining health and her daughters, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters, were able to practice what she had taught us. We were blessed to be able to serve her in her home, staying with her day and night making sure all her needs were met. Even in declining health, she was able to bring us all together where we learned to work together in love and service. For this experience we will be forever grateful.

Mom is survived by her 4 children, Terry (Judy) Robinson, Cheryl (Ken) Simpson, Karyn (Roger, deceased) Miller, and Vicki Robinson, all of Pocatello. She is also survived by a sister, Donna (Earl) Cluff and a brother, Jim (Pat) Critchley, 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, with another coming late September.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Robinson, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, a son-in-law, her mother and father, 2 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law.

We would like to express a special thanks to Enhabit Hospice. The people from Enhabit who served mom became very special to us as a family and we appreciate each and every one of you who always showed us and mom such love and compassion.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 655 S Grant Avenue, Pocatello, ID. A viewing will be held prior beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.
