Theresa Louise Hardy passed away quietly at her home on September 28, 2024.
Theresa was born on August 7, 1960 in Fullerton, California. She was raised by her loving parents Mel and Virginia Hardy. At the age of 6, the family moved to Yorba Linda, California, where they lived until 1974 when the family made their final move to Chubbuck, Idaho. Theresa attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Placentia, California, Hawthorne Jr. High in Pocatello, Idaho, and graduated from Highland High School, Pocatello class of 1978.
Theresa had a natural talent for art and enjoyed drawing. The family especially enjoyed receiving her hand made cards that always included one of her cute drawings. She excelled at portraits and animals. She also enjoyed various other crafts, especially bead work. She loved the ocean and Idaho mountains where she enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing.
Theresa had a wonderful sense of humor, and a sweet, contagious giggle that will be forever missed. She was a thoughtful, generous soul who always made a point of keeping in touch with the people she loved. She was a mother of 2: Josh Chesler and Jennifer Cates.
Theresa held a variety of jobs. One of her favorite positions was a grounds keeper at Idaho State University. She also enjoyed working at K-Mart.
She felt very blessed by her 3 grandchildren Kaira, Kailey and Kaden.
Theresa is survived by her son, Joshua (Danielle) Chesler, Pocatello, her daughter, Jennifer Cates, Pocatello, her siblings Randy (Linda) Hardy, Snohomish, WA, Linda Manatt, Ames, IA, Thais (Mike) Ayre, Chubbuck, ID, Louise (Harley) Mauch, American Falls, ID, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Ed Conan, her parents, and Tom Manatt, her beloved brother in law.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 13 at the Purpose Center, 224 N Union Pacific Ave. Pocatello from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Food and beverage will be served. All who wish to share in her memory are invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bannock Humane Society.
