Thomas "Tommy" Jones Jr.

Thomas A Jones Jr, known as Tommy, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1947 to Afton and Thomas Jones in Pocatello, Idaho.

Tommy was raised in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1966. Tommy worked for the railroad for a while. He married Lillian and they had two sons, James John (known as JJ), and Eli. Tommy and Lillian divorced, and Tommy went to work in construction.

Tommy’s love for life was his horses, he also loved to read about horses and the wild west. Always ready to tell one of his stories, half true and well you know the other half. Tommy was liked and loved by many people over his lifetime.

He is survived by his sons, Eli and JJ; five grandchildren and one great grandson; sister, Vicki (Glenn) Campbell; and brother, Rick (Linda) Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; and brother, Larry.

We’ll all miss you, Tommy. We give thanks and are grateful to the ones who took care of Tommy at Elegant Assisted Living and Symbii Hospice for their care.

No services will be held due to Tommy’s wishes.
