Virginia Ann Newberry, age 87, left this earth to return to her Heavenly Father on October 22, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1939, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Nona and Vera Silvey. Virginia graduated in 1957 from Richfield High School in Richfield, Idaho, at the age of 17.
Upon leaving school, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and went to work for the Gates Rubber Company, where she later met and married Jimmy D. Newberry on August 8, 1959. Together, they had three children: one daughter, Nona, and two sons, Jimmy and Adam. They embarked on a series of adventures through the years as her husband worked for the government. In 1974, she and her family moved to Richfield, Idaho, where she worked as a caregiver and finished raising her family. In 1998, she moved to Buhl, Idaho, where she raised livestock. She enjoyed raising funds for schools and the Buhl Senior Citizens Center for community projects.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Nona, her brother Lawrence Silvey, and her sister Marion Farnsworth. She is survived by her son Jimmy (Amanda) Newberry II of Buhl, ID; son Adam Newberry of Twin Falls, ID; grandchildren Mason, Roy, Zaine, and Angel; step-grandchildren Alex and Michael; and great-grandchildren Bryson and Declan.
