Wesley "Wes" Alan Gifford, 69, passed away on March 29, 2026.
Wesley “Wes” Alan Gifford was born November 7, 1956. He was the son of Kenneth and Iletta Gifford, brother to Ron Gifford and Norma Tarter.
He was raised in the small town of Jerome, Idaho. Wes loved outer space. He wrote letters to NASA and the Russian Space Program until he was ultimately told to stop by the FBI. He loved basketball and baseball. He was the class clown and also thrived in drama.
Wes met and married Nadine Francis and had four children: Amber, Kealy, Cory, and Elyse. He later divorced and went on to marry the love of his life, Tammi Gifford on April 13, 2007. He was very fond of her and told us kids many times how wonderful she was to him.
He became a Registered Nurse and worked his way up to Director of Operating Services for Intermountain Healthcare (IHC) Hospital before arthritis fell upon him.
Wes was loved by many and will be missed by all of us.
He was driven, loved dancing, singing, and karate. He always had a hand for you to hold if you needed it.
Wes loved a good conspiracy theory and gave the best advice. His deep conversations will be missed by all of us.
He collected coins, enjoyed reading tarot cards, playing darts, and was Tammi’s “Music Man.”
Wes is preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth Gifford, and brother, Ron Gifford. He is survived by his sweetheart, Tammi Gifford of McCammon, ID; Mother, Iletta Gifford (98); Children, Amber (Andrew) Hardison of Fountain Hills, AZ, Kealy (Kellsie) Gifford of American Falls, ID, Cory (Leah) Gifford of Casa Grande, AZ, Elyse (Garrett) Wilkinson of Eagle River, AK; stepchildren Jacob Roberts of Lincoln, NE, Richard Roberts of Pocatello, ID, Wendy (Shane) Roberts of Idaho Falls, ID, and Torrey (Jade) Roberts of Pocatello, ID; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Wesley is a legend amongst his friends and family.
Fly high Dad, Husband, Friend, and Son.
