William Robert Holmquist

William “Bill” Robert Holmquist, 72, passed away on January 24, 2024.

He was born in Seattle, Washington on September 30, 1951, to William and Beverly Holmquist. He played hockey when he was a child. When he was 18 years old, he joined the military and served two tours in Vietnam as a door gunner in the 101st Airborne. Upon honorable discharge, he married his sweet wife, Rosanna, in 1974. Together, they had two children, and later, two grandchildren.

Bill loved to fish and hunt and spend time outdoors. He also loved to share his experiences and stories about his service in Vietnam.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rosanna; his son, William; his daughter, Rachel; and two granddaughters, Holli and Hailey, all of whom reside in Pocatello.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall Holmquist and Beverly Lawrence.
