Wilma Josephine Owings Carnahan Davis, 94, passed away March 19, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
Wilma was born August 23, 1929, in Colton, California to Sam and Ethel Owings. She was the sixth of eleven children - 8 girls and 3 boys, Rose, Tom, William, Charles, Eunice, Wilma, Doris, Myrtle, Frances, Bertha and Annie.
Wilma was raised in King Hill, Idaho on the family farm. She attended school in King Hill and later lettered in basketball and played in the band while in high school. On May 12, 1947, she was 1 of 7 seniors graduating from King Hill High School.
On August 23, 1947, Wilma married Everett Carnahan and eventually settled in Pocatello with their young family of four children, Karen, Susan, Rosanna and Eddie. They later divorced. Wilma married Nolan Davis in December 1987 and they made their home in Tyhee. Wilma moved to Brookdale Assisted Living in January 2020 until her passing.
Wilma worked as a Senior Analyst for Farmers Insurance for 35 years until her retirement on April 1, 1994. Farmers is where she met her lifelong friend and lunch buddy, Donna Murray.
Wilma also made many friends at Brookdale, including Marguerita and Dottie who took special care of her.
Wilma loved gardening, taking special pride in her Iris beds, crocheting, camping, swimming and especially spending time with family and friends.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Ethel Owings; sisters Rose Parry, Doris Neilsen, Bertha Severe, Annie Burns, Eunice Bellegante and brothers Tom Owings, William Owings and Charles Owings; Everett Carnahan (first husband), Nolan Davis husband, Donnie Rupp Jr. son-in-law, Susan (Brent) Dustin daughter and son-in-law, Taylor Dustin great grandson, Jordan Phillips great granddaughter and Laura Lee Madsen stepdaughter.
Wilma is survived by her daughters Karen Rupp, Rosanna (Tim) Whitworth of Pocatello, Idaho, son Eddie Carnahan of Pocatello, Idaho stepsons Rod (Cathy) Davis of Nevada and Michael Davis of Texas; two sisters Frances (Dale) Diller of Pocatello, Idaho and Myrtle Hall of Glenns Ferry, Idaho and brother-in-law Jean Neilsen of Gooding, Idaho and "too many to count" grandchildren, great and great great children.
