Yvonne Lee Foltz

Yvonne Lee Foltz, 68, passed away November 12, 2025.

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend Yvonne Lee Foltz, known to most as Punky, passed away on November 12th 2025 at home with her loved ones at her side. As she succumbed to her courageous battle with cancer.

Punky was born July 4th 1957 to parents Joan and Harrison Shull in Placerville, CA. At a very young age Punky developed a love and a special bond with animals and would often be found spending time with them. Punky attended Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs, CA where she excelled in track and field. However, with a distaste for school you were more likely to find her riding her horse Penny, rather than hitting the books.

Following high school Punky would marry her high school sweetheart Lawrence Phipps, with whom she shared two children: Lorie and Summer. The marriage would later dissolve.

Some years later Punky would welcome her third child Brandy to the family.
In 2001 Punky's family would relocate to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Punky adored Idaho and it was here where she grew and enriched her love for the outdoors to include hunting and fishing. 

As fate would have it, it was also here where she would meet her soulmate Michael Foltz. They were wed April 28th 2022. Together they embarked on many adventures. Enjoying travel, camping and most importantly being grandparents together, sharing many days atop Pebble Creek Ski resort encouraging the children's love for the sport. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gary, her uncles Al, Jim and Jess and is survived by her husband Michael Foltz, her sister Patty Davis, brother Brad Maxwell, her uncle Hank Townsend as well as her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Through them her love and memory will carry on.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd. Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a luncheon to follow at 2:00 pm.
